# New CODA concerning GOME-2 format change

Hi

will there be a new coda version or definition-update concerning the upcoming format change on GOME-2 in early April '21 ?

Yes. The [definition](https://github.com/stcorp/codadef-eps) is actually already updated in github, but we hadn’t yet created an official release. We were waiting for the official format specification document and test data to become available.  
With the link you provided, it seems that this is now available. We will make a final cross-check and then produce a new codadef release.

Thanks for the update !

The test data are already available since approx 1month. For the extended dataset we received a link from EUMETSAT to download the data from 2-3 weeks ago.

The Kai/Eugene XMLs also available from the mentioned page we’ve tested already and they work properly.
