I have a RHEL 8 box and I am trying to create a HARP python package. Before I do that I understand I have to build the dependencies. I am at the first step to configure HDF4 and as per the instruction in the url Installation — HARP 1.14 documentation when I run Installation — HARP 1.14 documentation I am getting configure: error: couldn’t find jpeg library
. jpeg in RHEL8 has become openjpeg or libjpeg. Vendor suggests to use RHEL8. How do I resolve this. Any help is appreciated
Did you actually manage to install HDF4 on RHEL8 already?
You would first need to have installed this before you can think of trying to install HARP.
