Visan graphics problem on windows virtual server

I get an error message when I try to plot in visan on the windows virtual server. For example, when running “wplot” I get an error “failed to get valid pixel format” and “Missing GL version”. I don’t get this error when I run visan from the home computer.
Does Visan support on VMWare 6.5 and what needs to be done to make this work? Can visan be ran from any location and on any Windows operating system?

VISAN uses OpenGL for plotting (via the VTK libraries) so you need a proper installation of OpenGL on your operating system for the visualisations to work.
OpenGL support in virtual machines can be difficult to configure though.
You might try using MESA if you don’t have good GPU support in your VM.
